The Toymaker Shakedown

A young barkeep has tasked you with delivering a purse of bronze mechanisms to Antonio, a purveyor of children's trinkets in the village of Rasten, since you couldn't afford your tab. Upon the path to Rasten is Antonio, muddied and bloodied, begging for his life from a pair of mercenaries whose cloaks feature a screaming sparrow. As you approach (d6):

1. Antonio screams for help, flailing wildly on the ground
2. The mercenaries turn their attention to you, warily
3. Antonio fumbles in his waist pouch for his last resort - a grenade
4. The mercenaries kick at Antonio furiously, unaware of anything else
5. Lightning crashes in the distance, illuminating a dark tower and drawing all attention there
6. One of the mercenaries turns on the other, shoving them, yelling about false promises

Oh! Also! The EPUB for Picaroons now also includes the cover by default, which it did not (always?) before!
